6 Setting up Wireless Connectivity

Tip:

If your access point needs to know the MAC

(Media Access Control) address for each device that

connects to it, you can use WiStat to get the MAC

address for your Dana Wireless. See “WiStat” on

page 9 for more information.

4. Tap OK in the 802.11b Preferences dialog. Tap OK in the

Proﬁle Preferences dialog. Tap Done in the LAN Details dialog.

5. Tap the Connect button to connect to the wireless network

now.

Using a Static IP Address

After completing steps 1- 6 for “Basic Wi-Fi setup on Dana Wire-

less” on page 2, continue with the following steps to use a static

(ﬁxed) IP address.

1. If your network administrator told you to use a Static IP

address, tap on the Addressing selector ﬁeld.
